If children have been taking a course of antibiotics, Flora Care for Kids may assist in maintaining the levels of normal healthy flora that may have been disrupted: A randomised trial of 202 children aged 6 months to 10 years, measured the effectiveness of LGG^® alongside a 10 day course of antibiotics compared to placebo. In children taking LGG^®, there was a reduced incidence and duration of Antibiotic Associated Diarrhoea.

A randomised, double blind, placebo controlled trial measured the effect of NCFM and Bi-07 on immunity in 326 children aged between 3-5 years old in day care. There was a significant reduction in the incidence and the number of sick days (Figure One) in children taking NCFM and Bi-07. The daily probiotic supplementation also reduced the use of antibiotics as well as days missed from school and day care. The study showed that the combination of NCFM & Bi-07 worked better than NCFM alone.

Warning: If diarrhoea persists for more than 6 hours in infants under 6 months – 12 hours in children under 3 years – 24 hours in children aged 3-6 years or 48 hours in adults and children over 6 years – seek medical advice.

Children aged 3 months to 12 years: Take 2/3 of a metric teaspoon (2 g) once daily, mixed into water, juice or food.  

For the relief or treatment of diarrhea in children: Take 2/3 of a metric teaspoon (2 g) twice daily, mixed into water, juice or food. 

If children have been taking a course of antibiotics: Take 2/3 of a metric teaspoon (2 g) twice daily of Flora Care for Kids to assist in maintaining the levels of normal healthy flora or friendly bacteria that may have been disrupted.
