Meta EPA/DHA marine lipids represents the state-of-the-art in purified fish oils, being concentrated to provide 50%
EPA and DHA, unlike other forms which provide only 30% of these important fatty acids. The addition of vitamin E
(as an excipient) provides additional antioxidant defense to protect the oils from
rancidification.
Each enteric coated capsule contains:
Concentrated Omega 3 triglycerides - Fish 1020 mg
providing 50% Omega-3 marine lipids as:
equivalent eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) 300 mg
equivalent docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) 200 mg
trans fatty acids 0 mg
Excipient: d-alpha-Tocopherol (equivalent to total vitamin E 5.0 IU) 3.4 mg
Directions: Take 2 capsules three times daily, or as directed by your healthcare professional.
Features:
• Cardiovascular health: High potency marine lipids like Meta EPA/DHA are very
effective in improving peripheral circulation, maintaining normal healthy cholesterol and triglyceride levels, and
generally supporting the cardiovascular system.
• Relief of pain: Inflammation is associated with increased production of prostaglandins, thromboxanes and
leukotrienes derived from the arachidonic acid inflammatory cascade. EPA/DHA is capable of inhibiting the
production of such inflammatory procoagulant mediators, which may provide temporary relief of joint stiffness,
pain, inflammation and swelling associated with rheumatism and arthritis.
• Beneficial in pregnancy: Pregnant and lactating women have an extra requirement for omega-3 essential fatty
acids. The DHA in fish oil is essential for the normal development and functioning of the retina and brain,
particularly before birth. Omega-3 essential fatty acids are necessary for normal growth and development.
• Enhances general wellbeing: The fatty acids from fish oil are important structural components of the phospholipid
membranes of cells throughout the body. Supplementation with high potency marine lipids may help maintain the
stability and fluidity of cell membranes throughout the body.
• Pesticide/heavy metal free: Most of today's oceans contain increased quantities of pollutants such as pesticides,
herbicides, PCB's and heavy metals. Purification of omega-3 marine oils is therefore essential. Meta EPA/DHA has
undergone molecular distillation to remove all such impurities and independent tests have shown concentrations of
these contaminants to be "below detectable levels".
• Enteric coating - Low reflux: a specialised enteric coating reduces the odour effect by delaying capsule
breakdown until it reaches the small intestine. This minimises the typical fishy odour and aftertaste, digestive
reflux and bad breath commonly experienced when taking other forms of fish oil.
